Reception/Horseshoe Saloon, Cordova, Alaska, 1984:
Sam Combs was called upon by the owners, and by the State Historical Architect, Mr. Robert Mitchell, to survey this building and to investigate the work that had been done to date. This was to insure that the Secretary of the Interior's standards for rehabilitation were being followed. The owners have renovated the interior first level for their floral shop and the second level as their living quarters. Mr. Combs filed his report with the State Historical Architect, and the owners, upon his recommendation, stating that they were doing excellent work, received additional grant moneys.
